Dirving on Christmas drunk is like drink driving on any other day if the police were to catch you meaning you would get the same penalty’s and fines as a normal day.

In fact a figure has recently come out stating that 62% of men would happily drive after drinking around the Christmas period whereas 34% of women think the same. As well as these shocking figures it has also been said that just over 10% of people would get into a car when they know the driver has been drinking. This is really stupid as you could end up dead because you got into the car.

Just over 9,000 people were caught doing this in the holiday season and this figure is taken from England and Wales alone. Although Christmas is a merry time of the year there is no excuse at all why you should be drinking and driving. Just walk home, it isn’t that big of a deal, its Christmas and everyone around you will be doing the same!

One of the problems is that if you are caught under the influence whilst driving you will get banned even if it is on Christmas Day, you could also end up in a cell and suffer a big fine. You never know you might be the one guy the judge wants to make an example of.

The best thing to do here is to stay at the place in which you are having your Christmas meal or even walk home if that is easier than asking to stay. The best thing to do is just not to take your car in the first place.

On the plus side if you are looking at getting a new car it could really be worth looking into car leasing or van leasing as it could save you a lot of money. Of course you could go for the specific manufacturer and look into Audi Leasing
